Allison Missal Akright

I was born, raised, and continue to live in Iowa. With all its problems, I love this place too much to give up on it.

I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, with honors.

I currently reside in Des Moines, IA, working as a Marketing Director, as well as instructing digital photo and Photoshop classes at the Des Moines Art Center.

I’m married to a really cool guy named Danny Akright.

In my free time, I enjoy bookbinding, embroidery, paper crafts, gardening, baking, hiking, and hanging out with our two rescue dogs, Sunny and Scout.
